Note there are two different side bearing types used in the Land Rover 2 pin Diffs, this kit is for the early bearing type fitted up to around 1985. Your vehicle may have had a recon Diff fitted or an Axle change at some point in it's life so you should not always rely upon age or Axle number.

If you already have the Diff Stripped you can identify the type from Side Bearing internal diameter. Early types have an ID of 41,3 mm (larter diff side bearing is 45,2mm Bore).

The later bearing is also found in "Metric" Diffs so you may also be able to identify by checking the 4 large journal end cap bolts. Metric bolts should have '8.8' stamped on the head.
